Bowl, in Spalted Sycamore

Large bowl hundturned from Spalted Sycamore.
 
This large bowl would be great as a display piece or it would make an excellent sharing bowl for crisps or popcorn.
 
Spalting occurs once a tree has been felled. Fungi start working their way up through the tree surviving on the now dead trunk. When the trunk is cut up to be turned, the fungi have discoloured the tree from its original state, but leave behind a beautiful patchwork of designs for the user to enjoy. 
 
This bowl has been finished with a hardwearing, foodsafe, finish that is very durable and will provide protection for many years to come. To clean it simply wipe clean with a damp cloth before drying with a tea towel.
